"New Music" is not a justification for a concert. A concert must have some reason for being that is deeper than a mere theme, one that develops organically from the (contingent) interaction of the pieces, the performers, the venue, and, at a subtle level, the larger cultural context.

Amp considers a few objectives for each concert:

1) Use small spaces and place the audience near the performers.

2) Present premieres and the works of younger composers in the context of masterpieces.

3) Work with bright-eyed, energetic performers.

4) Strive towards a concept or uniqueness for each concert; consider the 'concert experience' as a unity of programming, performers, venue, time, season, star-sign/moon phase, etc etc.

5) Have fun!
